We had a great weekend with Church of the Good Shepherd and St Peter’s, in Heswall, the Wirral. A few bits of feedback:
“Their teaching and helpful challenging enabled me to be caught up in Spirit-filled worship. I am sure others were too, and all of it pointed to Jesus!”
“The best bit was their idea of Jesus as a worship leader, pointing out that style and choice of songs doesn't matter, but the heart of worship does so much.”
After we led worship for the alternative venue at the Baptist Assembly, the Baptist Times said:
"The worship moved from upbeat, jazz-arranged celebration to quiet contemplative songs from Taize and Iona, to stillness and silence... there appeared to be a hunger for reclaiming worship, not as something done to people, but as something everyone has a serious and joyful responsibility for making authentic."
After a training night in Muswell Hill:
“We had had a wonderful evening with Sam and Sara. They were able to take us into some quite deep theology while keeping it accessible and relevant, creatively applying it to our worship-response. A great blend of their experience in a church context, their strong understanding of the subject matter and their skill as leaders of worship made for an excellent presentation. We'd thoroughly recommend Engage and will certainly look for an opportunity to invite them back."
We recently taught two lectures at London School of Theology on Youth and Worship, which was also a great way of connecting with the students on the course we took ourselves a number of years ago.
