This is a song that Timo and Gemma wrote for their band The Forest Feeling. ‘Saturday’ is a lament song that seeks to enter into the experience of the disciples of Jesus as they come to terms with the apparent failure of Jesus’ mission and the loss of not just a friend but their Messiah and their God. 
 

This song, as well as Sam’s ‘The Stone’, could be a great way to acknowledge the pain and confusion of the events leading up to Easter Sunday. Also, in the current pandemic, these songs can allow us to lament the hardships of lockdown and to grieve the loss of loved ones.
