Sam wrote it after interviewing "slow artist" Makoto Fujimura for the Resound Worship Podcast's 12 Song Challenge. His aim was to create an intentionally sparse song at a slow pace with a richly layered arrangement.

The recording was made by Sam with additional production from Timo Scharnowski and lead vocals by Gemma Scharnowski.
