A simple, interactive re-telling of Peter's speech in Acts 2.


Extract from script:

You will need to tell the congregation that they should repeat the reader's action and last line of each verse. You might need a second person to lead them in that.

Reader: So Peter stood up before the crowd
the other eleven were with him.
"Fellow Jews," he said. "Residents of Jerusalem.
Listen to what I have to say." (Put hand to ear)

Congregation: "Listen to what I have to say." (Put hand to ear)

Reader: Then he told them about Jesus,
and finished by saying
"Be sure of this, Israel.
God made Jesus both Lord and Christ.
That's right, the one you crucified." (Make shape of cross with fingers)

Congregation: "That's right, the one you crucified." (Make shape of cross with fingers)

Reader: When the people heard this
they were devastated,
mortified,
cut to the heart.
So they said to Peter and the Apostles
"What should we do?" (Hold out hands, palms up)

Congregation: "What should we do?" (Hold out hands, palms up)...
