Faith In Business conference feedback
Resources we used in Cambridge
We really enjoyed ourselves at the Faith in Business conference in Cambridge this past weekend (April 2019). It was inspiring to meet so many people walking out their faith in their workplaces. We are thankful to Peter Heslam and his team for hosting us.
Here is a list of resources we used in leading worship and teaching:
Friday
We began the service with the In The Beginning prayer PowerPoint.
We then sang All People That On Earth Do Dwell with the Jubilate lyrics.
We watched the second video from the Whole Life Worship Journey Pack, and then later used the Lenses Reflection PowerPoint from the same resource.
We sang God Our Father and used it to pray for our world.
We closed with the Flannagan/Robinson/Hunter text of We Seek Your Kingdom, to the tune of Abide with Me.
Saturday
The morning worship included the Psalm 67 prayer flow. We also sang Holy Holy Holy, Build My Life and Speak O Lord.
Sara led a contemplative session, which began with the He Is Here video. She led a play-dough reflection and an examen, and we finished by singing Take My Life.
In the evening we led a Whole Life Worship Session, singing Praise to the Lord and using Sara's Praise the Lord shout. We taught based on the Whole Life Worship material, and closed with Unbroken Praise and Be The God of All My Sundays (we can't find the latter on line, but the whole text is printed in WLW).
We closed the session with the Salt and Light Sending Prayer.
Sunday
We led the communion using our Taken, Blessed, Broken, Given service.
During this we sang (among other things) the Resound Worship songs Living Bread and Jesus You Call Us.
We closed with Tom Jackson's We Are Called To Be God's People.
